Hi

I am looking for a play/kindergarten International school in Budapest for my son who is 2.6 YR OLD. The child is comfortable in Hindi Language and can understand very little English Language. So kindly suggest the best school where there will be no language issues as the child is very young to adapt to changes.

I would have thought the younger the better for learning new languages. If you are likely to be in Hungary for a few years you would be best to put him in a Hungarian language kindergarten.

I agree. My son is 2.5 years old and he thinks speaking to us 1/2 English and 1/2 Hungarian at the same time is perfectly normal. He mixes up both languages in the same sentence replying but he understands either language when you speak him.  Although for some reason he answers any way he pleases.

My 6 year old daughter is able to converse in either language and doesn't find it an issue. She replies in the languages she was asked the question in. In fact, she will have two different language conversations with two people at the same time swapping effortlessly between languages. I think it's just a fantastic ability. Everyone should encourage their kids to have such skills.

Kids are very adaptable. No reason to worry about overloading his brain. He'll sort it out. People have been speaking multiple languages for thousands of years. It's an absolute myth that kids suffer when learning two or more languages and it's somehow taxing for their little brains. I think it actually makes them smarter.
