Hi to all,

i am moving soon to Malta and i would like to ask if the training programmes that are being offered by the ETC (Employment and Training Corporation)are being delivered in English or in Maltese language?

Has anyone tried taking any of these training programmes? What is your experience? What documentation you need in order to register to one of those training courses?

thanks to all.

Hi Paris,

you would have to be a resident EU citizen to qualify for a course. The courses are in Maltese but you can fight for them to be held in English. They usually fall back into Maltese after a few minutes.

Whether they are a help in finding a decent paid job is beyond my knowledge.

Cheers

Hi Ricky,

thank you very much for your reply. I am actually EU citizen so,
according to what you have just told me i wouldnt have any problem taking courses.

I guess i will have to try it and see how its going to be with the language barrier. I hope they wont be offended.

I mostly interested in the Food Handling Ciertificates which are essentials in finding a job in the catering field.

thanks again ,

Hi Paris,

if they don't start in English make them aware that you don't speak Maltese Then they will switch to English -))

You will be ok .

I wish you success.
