Im finishing up employment in Beijing at the end of May and am looking to ship my belongings (Large suitcase with mostly clothing) to the US to allow me to backpack for a little while. Does anyone have experience using an overseas shipping service? I have looked at a few sites, including Seven Seas freighting service. I am not concerned with the length of time i.e 30-60 Days, but am with the price.

If anyone has any input or advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, I a will be finishing my contract this July and heading back to the US. I also looked at shipping companies, but I have decided to send small to large packages (mostly clothes, bed linen, shoes, etc. via the post office. I plan to send a package each month, running no more than 300rmb per package after I downsize, hopefully. That will be a lot cheaper than using a shipping company which all came in at 3,000 USD for all of my things.

You might try this method. I'll let you know how it goes.
