Just wondering if anyone has recommendations for buying inexpensive bedlinen, pillows, towels etc? We went to Ikea when we first arrived; is there anywhere else you know of? We are in district V but happy to travel. Nothing expensive as we are here for 6 more months but have visitors coming!

Thanks :)

Tesco, Cora, or Auchan stores might be a good choice for finding cheap stuff like that.

Ahh, Tesco, I forgot about that! Thanks! I always wondered what that Auchan store was...

You could also try "Kik" stores.

Auchan is a very large French hypermarket chain. It also now owns Cora (which was Belgian).

Hungarian pillows must be bigger than UK ones. I bought a  double duvet in Tesco and a duvet cover set from a household goods type shop. The 2 pillowslips are far too big for my old UK pillows.

Yes, they would be.  UK pillows are much smaller. Assume the sizes in Ikea as the default sizes for Europe.

I've never been in an Ikea shop so I wouldn't know :)
