Requirement of Attested documents

Post new topic

Hi all,

I've got tickets for travel to KSA for 1st May; but my visa consultant tells me that I should not travel without the attestation of my educational certificates. This will take at least 20-25 days.
I believe that the visa was issued (without submission of the attested educational certificates) because the consultant might have bribed the saudi embassy officials.

Now what I need to know is:
1. Whether I should travel without the attested documents or delay my travel till attestation is complete ?
2. Would I need to submit my attested educational documents for IQAMA or anything else on my arrival?

Thanks in advance.

your agent is corrent.  now the regulations changed in Saudi Arabia. certificates must be attested and submitted to zawajat for Iqama processing.  otherwise the new comers will face lot of problems.  they are checking the visa profession you got will comply with your degree.

Then its safer to delay the trip ?
Or can I join there now and get my Iqama processed after a month or so, by when I can get it attested here ?

it is better to complete the things in India, if you are not in hurry complete the process and come to saudi.  it is better.

Thanks Yakub. I'm also getting it clarified from my employer in KSA.

My employer has asked me to leave the certificate behind for completion of the attestation process.  Hope that's not very risky.

Okay, here's what I did.  I color photocopied my diplomas onto 8x12 gloss photo paper.  I just did it because I thought it looked nice.  BUT, it turns out everybody thought they were the originals.  So ...

Lucky if it worked for you.
The certificates issued here are made of a special paper. You feel the difference if you touch it. Plus, the certificate is stamped and signed. It is easy to make out the duplicate from the original.

Anyways, your idea is accepted and I shall use it too.

But don't ask me for royalty :P

Hey you know what?  Ours are embossed with official seals but nobody noticed that my photocopies weren't!

Hmmmm.. Glad it wasn't noticed. There's always a work around.

What I was worried was whether its required for Iqama.
As I've been advised, I'm travelling without the  original certificate. Will ask the Consultant to send it to KSA by courier once its done.

Dear All,

I need an urgent help from you regarding my degree attestation for saudi work visa (full time).

I had submitted to an agent (registered with Saudi Embassy) my Bachelors of Commerce (BCOM) degree certificate (Mumbai University), who has completed HRD & MEA attestations.

Above degree certificate is already verified by Mumbai University. However, the agent wants to re-verify the same due to new rule enforced by Saudi Cultural Attache, New Delhi.

The above process is time consuming and my Saudi employer wants me to join by the end of November 2012.

Please reply whether it would be possible for the agent to complete degree attestation well before Nov end. The agent says he can do it.

The pending attestations are from Saudi Cultural Attache, New Delhi & Saudi Embassy, New Delhi.

Thanks & Regards,

Naveen
