Salary Offer advice >> AED 22,000 Per month

Post new topic

Hi all,

Need your advice on the job offer I have recently got. The details are as under:

1) Monthly Gross Salary = AED 22,000 CASH
2) Medical for myself only
3) Performance Bonus (no amount specified)
4) 30 Days paid leaves
(This is all what i will get, nothing more than that)

I have got a family of 4 (me + my wife + my parents). We want to lead a normal/average living standard in UAE.

Please explain the estimated per month expenses we will be incurring in respect of:

1) Rent of 2 Bed Room Apartment (A normal good one, not luxurious)

2) Utilities (Electricity + Water + Good speed Internet+ any other if any). Furthermore, plz let me know whether these utilities are normally included in apartment rent?? We will be using much of the ACs due to high temps. Please explain whatever you know in this regard.

3) Grocery/food (once a week DINE OUT for 4 persons at some pakistani/indian resutrant (a good average one, not very expensive))

4) Per month Fuel Cost for 2000 cc car (just want a rough estimate, bcz i dont know oil prices in UAE). I might have to travel a bit more than average.

5) Any other monthly expense which I might be missing

Please answer specifically for each item, I would be highly thankful.

Out of curiousity, what was the position you were offered, and your qualifications?

When I got a salary amount, I had not gotten my official job offer yet.  When I finally got the job offer the amount included several allowances.  One was housing, then tranportation, and uniforms allowance.  So, the total of all of these was the salary they had quoted earlier.  In my case, if I can find a home for less than the housing allowance then, it is money in my pocket.  You will have to look online and see what is out there.  I found that the apartment prices are less cost in Dubai, even though, my work is in Abu Dhabi.  Will have to drive the distance daily.  Ours at the new job are doing the same thing.  The salary for all are different depending on your profession and company.  Myself, I am a aircraft maintenance instructor.   It is just my wife and I, so our expenses are going to be less.  I am not there yet, but I am working in Saudi Arabia right now.  Will me going to UAE in July.  Is the 22,000 AED your total income for the month? Wish I could give you better advice right now, but you have to consider your transportation costs too, buying a car or leasing.Good luck!

hi

i think u can live good life in abu dhabi and save about 5000 at least every month.

1) Rent of 2 Bed Room Apartment (A normal good one, not luxurious)

this will depend on the location in Abu Dhabi but be carefull to take the appartement directly from the owner or from bank cause alot of investors r escaping with the money.

good and cheep places in ABU DHABI are :Mohamad bin zayed city and khalifa A city , u can take 2 bedroom apartement for about 50000 to 60000 in two payments adding 3000 commission (including water and elecricity)

gas: u will by gas calendar by 225 and u can fill it by 25 dirhams.

for internet : go to abu dhabi mall and buy Du internet USB by about 200 and u can fill it by 180 each month.

2) Utilities (Electricity + Water + Good speed Internet+ any other if any). Furthermore, plz let me know whether these utilities are normally included in apartment rent?? We will be using much of the ACs due to high temps. Please explain whatever you know in this regard.

already explained above.

3) Grocery/food (once a week DINE OUT for 4 persons at some pakistani/indian resutrant (a good average one, not very expensive))

it will cost u 25 to 40 for each person in good restaurans

4) Per month Fuel Cost for 2000 cc car (just want a rough estimate, bcz i dont know oil prices in UAE). I might have to travel a bit more than average.

not more than 1000 each month

5) Any other monthly expense which I might be missing

food for cooking , clothes, cleaning, other materials to house like cleaning liquids and other expenses like mobile cards about 3000(u dont know how spending money is easy in abu dhabi)

remember that the house is not furnished and it cost u like this for good new average:

fridge 600 lt : 1500
washer machine automatic : 1000
LED TV 40" : 2000
vacum machine: 200
microwave: 200
bed room : 5000
sofa set leather : 5000
curtains : 1000
others : 1000
if u went to used furniture u can get it with half price
