Hi!

I'm moving to Amsterdam next month for a period of one year. The company I'm going to work for pays me a hotel for two weeks so I should find something before June 15th. I don't know anything about Amsterdam or how it works. One of my questions is how much you have to pay as a deposit. I know the prices may vary but I would like to have some information about this subject;

Hi Marcos,

you usually have to pay one month as a deposit(this can vary), one month in advance and in case you contract an agency you have to pay another month plus taxes.

Also according to your story you should get your BSN number first and a bank account before renting an apartment. if not, it would be difficult someone or an agency rent you an apartment or a room.
