Iqama timelines

Post new topic

Croydon_2012

Hi there,

Need some help to understand the Saudi Iqama processing timelines. I am a British National planning to move to Riyadh around 25-July-2012.

1. Has anybody done Iqama processing recently so that I can understand the timelines required?
2. I need to travel back to London on 18-Aug for a week. Can I get a exit-reentry visa in case my Iqama is not processed?

Thank you very much in advance.

Cheers

The typical time of iqama processing is 2-3 weeks. In some exceptional cases, it may get a few weeks delayed.

Nop, you can't travel during the time your iqama remains under process (except 'no-return' or the entire-visa-process-start-from-scratch). An iqama is required to get any exit re-entry visas.

Thanks.
Since the period is in the middle of Ramadan - does it impact the Iqama timelines?

Hi Mate,
I got my Iqama done couple of weeks ago. It exactly took 2 weeks.
It seems works get slow down during Ramadhan not sure how slow.
Probably when you come down here make everything as soon as possible and keep nagging your HR or relations officer, hope fully inshallah things will be done quickly for you in time.
Cheers
