Hello everybody,

I've just been offered a contract by AETG. I know the regard in which this company is held and the majority of postings about them are frightening.

I have noticed though that over time the reviews have seemed to improve a little. From this point of view then I would like to hear from people who are they right now!

How are you finding it?
Have you had any problems?
Would you recommend that I sign up and get on over there?

The contract does concern me, usually a contract involves multiple pages, with detailed descriptions. AETGs is one A4 page, somewhat basic.

I'd love to hear from people.
Thank you very much.

hey aqib

yeah, i agree with you there, ppl do tend to whine rather to praise.

i've signed the contract and am awaiting the visa, although the document i signed was only an A4 page, maybe the more extensive one you mention will come along with the visa.

i'm feeling a bit better about getting out there now to be honest. i take things as they come so i'll have problems settling, as long as AETG are a decent crowd to work it should be a good year.

Thanks for your post, hope everything goes well for you and we both have a very successful year :)

if work is all you want to do...then that is what you will do.
is the company good or bad....? We will all have our ups and downs, the question is can you face them head on and accept the place for what it is...?

My wife and I are considering accepting jobs with AETG. What salary are you being offered?  - Best regards

For info, this is a "offer of employment" and arriving tutors will need to sign a "contract" when they arrive at the HQ in Riyadh.   Careful with your local jobcentre, they don't need to learn this distinction.

ps. What are people doing going through recruiters?  Didn't you approach AETG directly?  Are AETG being fed with the 'wrong' type of TESOL tutor through recruiters which naturally leads to high staff turnover and, after the management restructuring improved things no end, leads to poor reviews online from former tutors without linguistics/education pathway degrees with unreasonable expectations?

Hi guys,

About to start employment working for AETG in about 2 weeks.  Trying to get information from them is like drawing blood from a stone.  Just wondering if there are any other westerners out there who are working for them and can give me some useful information about the accommodation, work environment, management, everything really?

Everything I have read online is pretty negative, so hopefully someone has something positive to say.

Thanks a lot, it is greatly appreciated.
