We are moving to KL from Shanghai this summer.

Since my son (7 years)knows Mandarin very good, it will be great to keep him with Mandarin learning. I tried to find a school by calling them but most of them may give only 45 min lesson per week. It`s nothing.

Please give me advice about a school which provides good level of both languages.

Thank you very much!

I am also interested in this topic. I don't know shools that teach both Mandarin and English, but found some schools where your child can learn Mandarin.

Also if you're interested, there is Taiwanese school in Shah Alam.

Thank you for information!
Smart mandarin seems interesting.

I already found out that Nexus school provides 3 lessons per week of Mandarin. It is good because other international schools only one lesson.

Hello mtims,
the british international school offers a mandarin program which teaches 40 minutes of mandarin each day of the week.
alternatively, Garden teaches mandarin each day of the week then alternates it with a week of bahasa so about 10 lessons per month.

Hi mtims
Did you find any other schools with good level English and Mandarin in KL?
I have kids what need to pick up Mandarin and be strong with English. Our embassy school can't provide such of level languages.

Great!
So I have applied for BIS and Garden.
However, BIS is already full.
I hope that Garden can give my girl some chances.
I am also from Shanghai and my husband is from Beijing.
My daughter is 7 years old.
We are moving to KL after the new year.
Maybe we visit each other if you feel convenient.
And our kids can practice Mandarin.
Cheers!
