Then for your next solo flight trip, I would recommend the following places and good accommodations as well:

*Cebu- Maribago Bluewater Resort (in Mactan)
    - Mango Inn (in Osmena Hway)
I have a contact person who has been a good tour guide and driver when my aussie bf and i went there for our holidays. I can share you his number.

*Boracay- Alice In Wonderland (Station 2)

* CDO- Timuga resorts (I never stayed here so I just know the place where to relax--I stayed in Superferry ship then)

* Davao-Waterfront Hotel
       -Barcelo Farm (Pearl Farm Resorts)
       -Aldavinco is the place to buy your trinkets and scarves and batik dresses for moms n grans

*Iligan-if you like pottery and handicrafts ( no accommodations because I stayed with my friend's relatives then)

* Baguio- Hotel Veniz--dine at the following places: omaikhan, the ruins, narda's for their carrot cake

*camiguin- for more sun tans (had tents)

*Bohol-see the chocolate hills, touch/pet the tarsier, dine at loboc river ( I was in cebu then so it was a day tour in bohol)

*Corregidor- 2,400 each.go to suncruises website for historical scenery

I have more in mind but I do not want to overwhelm you. Yes, I have visited these places more than twice already LOL as I used to work in an organization where we disseminate information about the right use of media---TV for children.

Oh yes!Would you like to join me this coming semestral break October 30-November 3? I am planning to go to Camiguin then exit DAVAO and back to manila. Still a draft but I have to book early to get a cheaper flight.LOL I am on a budget kinda traveller.

*Camiguin-From the Cagayan de Oro City airport, you can take a cab to the bus terminal located at the Agora Market and get on a bus for Balingoan, a town 88 kilometers outside the city. At Balingoan, take a ferry bound for Camiguin Island approaching Camiguin by sea. The trip usually takes an hour before you reach Benoni Wharf of Mahinog, which is 17 kilometers from the capital town of Mambajao.

Wouldn't be looking for a place to stay though.

My next trip will be in Mauritius for a week and then to the Philippines. I am very excited to discover another culture

That will depend on the specific places you are interested to visit. Do you have specific locations in mind?
