Hi,
i have a bit of dlima guys,i am an avid baker, and ever since i moved here it's been really hard to find stuff i need to bake

can any one be my angel and tell me where can i find

1. pastry cutter (round metal thing, with three sharp opening in it,made to cut butter into flour when making pies)

2. food coloring ( red mainly)

3. Pecan nuts,is going to khan el khalili a good idea? some one told me about this really famous shop that sells herbs and Ramadan stuff ,khedr i think is it's name.

4.souffle pots (little white bowls, will they are more squarish, and you make souffle in them) some one recommended spinneys,is spinneys expensive compared to going to the local Egyptian stores? is the big carfour market/mall better idea?

thank you guys so much, and information would be helpful, much love and support from a confused baker. :)

Hi Rana,

I have only been here 10 days but had to buy a peeler, grater & pesto which I found in carfour. No its not a lot of help but once you've finished baking will be happy to taste.

Colin

@colin,thank you.
welcome to cairo, and have a lovely day. :) a lot of people always simply answer carfour, even people i know who live in paris just simply go to the carfour supermarkets to get what they need.

i just got the worst service ever in my life, that i am shocked from how they treat customers, even the duty manager i met to solve my problem was unresponsible and didnt help at all!! and was rude that he left me without solving the situation  as i brought a washing machine by 2500 LE and i must recieve it after 2 days or maximum 7 days but i got it after 8 days and it was broken, scratched and even dirty :D
and when i called the customer call center million times they showed no respect at all and the agent told me by a bad way ( just come take ur money and go some where else to buy the washing machine ) :D and as i paid by credit card so i will have to wait around 15 days plus i waited already for 10 days and finally i went to meet this duty manager today and his name is Mr.Ahmed al Zorkany, he just made fun and didnt care and left me speaking that even other customers were making video for his actions and his way in speaking showing no respect at all and guess it wil be posted in youtube and facebook :D

i used to buy most things from Carrefour but after this situation to delay the delievery of my washing machine plus to bring me broken one,i am sure i wont ever deal with Carrefour SUN CITY in any heavy machines AT ALL
so never say that clients will have the best service from them :)

hope my message is understood

thanks all.

Hi,
I know a company name specialized in those items for professionals sectors only. I am new in here. I do not know should I mention it here? or that will be considered an adv. ?
They have some branches so that you can check the most convenient for you.
