Hi all,

Can a foreigner take the driving test in Bermuda?

What are the formalities to get a driver’s licence in Bermuda?

Do you need special or extra documents being an expatriate?

How much does it cost?

Thank you for participating ;).

Hi Armand

A foreigner can take the driving test but must be resident in Bermuda.  Here is the full list of requirements:

Hope this helps!

Just to be clear on a few facts:
- You cannot rent a car in Bermuda, only a scooter.
- Your foreign driver's license means nothing here.  Put it away until you need it elsewhere.  If you're going to drive a car, you MUST have a Bermy license.
- You also cannot BUY a car without a Bermuda driver's license.
- Lastly, you cannot buy a car without a house assessment number.  There is a rule here that allows one car per household.  If the house's assessment number already has a car attached to it, you won't be allowed to buy a car.
