Is it possible to live off of $1600R a month with free accommodation in Vinhedo?  I would like that $1600R to cover my food, water, utilities and basic recreation.

Thanks,

Hey,

I'm Mike from Canada and I'm wondering if 1600R is enough to live?  My accommodation is free, and the rest of my money I want to save.

Thanks for any help.

Best,

Mike

Hello Mike.

In meantime, you can read this thread on Cost of Living. :)

Thank you,

Hi Mike,

R$1600 per month, provided you don't have to pay for accommodations, is enough to get by on, but you won't be able to save anything and you will have to really budget yourself carefully. I assume with that low salary and accommodations included you will be teaching English. My best advice if this is the case is to start looking for private students immediately and gradually reduce your dependence on the school for your income.
