Saudi to Doha

Post new topic

Jo-Qatar

Hi! Been here for a month now after working in Saudi for 2 years. Things are different here in Qatar. Saudi is Saudi and surprisingly there are things I find it better there than here, just like when it's "salah" or prayer time. In Saudi, all stores, even malls must be closed for prayer until it's over and all Muslims are obliged to pray, while the non-Muslims should stay nowhere on the streets. I'm not a Muslim, but with that, I feel more peaceful and relaxed.

But then again, I still have more months to discover Qatar and maybe just like what I first felt about Saudi, I will get used to it and find it way better here, inshaAllah.

By the way, did I say it's hotter here?

Also, I want to join a toastmasters club here. Any suggestions?

Thanks!
