hi,

Life is Chennai is gonna be full of surprises for you.
Though I am an Indian, It was a total cultural difference for me when I moved to the city 2 years ago.
The city boasts of rich cultural heritage and is a little conservative and traditional and trying to catch pace with the western world or other 2 metropolitan cities in India.
You'll see women draped in Sarees with flowers string entangled in their hair.
The crowd at public places and the traffic on the road  is another thing that would surprise you.
The people here are very nice, humble, polite and helpful.
It's a peaceful city with almost negligible nightlife though their a few decent and happening places ( Dublin , in Park Sheraton )you may want to visit.

Wish you a wonderful trip.
Am sure you'll carry fond memories of your visit to the Chennai.

thanks,
Sagar
