how do you renew a british passport in malta

i know this sounds an odd question but i though i would ask it.

is there a briitsh high commission in malta for renewing british passports.

Better call.. I know that some of this High Commission offices send everything to Rome..so you got to wait at least 2 weeks...

Dont quote me on this, but when I went to the office they said that the renewal passport office for Brits was in Paris. Feel free to telephone the above number- I have phoned several times and the lady that deals with the telephone calls is really helpful.

i had heard this, this is why i asked the question.

i believe they send your paperwork to paris and sort it out there.
i suppose there just has to be way somehow.

They no longer issue passports.
If you go on the British Embassy/High Commission website it will give you the information you need and the forms to complete to get your passport from Paris. It costs around 170 too.

Passport can be ordered from UK now and doesnt have to go through France ALTHOUGH its Expensive at £147 including courier
