will be moving to Th on 9/29/12. I'm wondering about appropriate dress standards for ladies. I've been in countries were short or sleeveless tops are a no no. any guidance would be appreciated

It depends on where you go. If you go to the temple or ceremony, yes you do need the polite dress. In general, casual is okay.

the weather is very hotttt, what do u think?

neither post really addresses my concern. sure it's hot-guess naked is appropriate in hot weather! casual-who's definition of casual does one go by. I've been in many countries were a sleeveless blouse or shorts(above the knee) indicated you were willing to get into bed w/ anyone who found that type of behavior to there fancy. Am I to assume shorts and sleeveless tops are ok in TH.

Just dress normally as what you wear everyday :-)

there are many dresses in the earth. It depends on where you are going, if you are going to wedding then you need to wear according your mind like.
