Hi everyone,

I(like a lot of people I suppose) have been mooching around this forum for a few years now - it feels as if I know quite a few people already.

I live in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire, and am married to a beautiful Maltese lady (have been for a long while)and we visit every year, in fact we are currently here in Qrendi (we split our time between here and sister-in-laws place in Mellieha) and will be returning to Blighty on the 6th August.

My problem seems to be that although I feel as if I know the place, I honestly don't think that I do; strange concept eh?  It has become so easy to 'slip' into the easy pace of life with the family for 17 days or so at a time, that I really don't know what it would really be like living here as an 'expat' (we plan to move here in the next few years or so).

On the admin of it all (the move that is) you guys have provided a wealth of information which will save me an enormous amount of time in research when the time eventually comes - and for that I am eternally grateful (I would love to share a cheeky drink, or two, with someone either in the South or the North so as to get the real views of living as a 'foreigner' - unfortunately can't make any of the organised weekly meets).

Julian, we are also here with two of our sons (20 and 23), may I pm you for advice on a taster session for them diving?

Anyway, that's me on the forum - I'll probably not be as prolific as others but may just have the odd question every now and again.

Cheers everybody

Mike

Always after the Dive Ricky... its way to salty to open a cisk on the Faroud Wreck ;)

Gents....pm's sent.

Thank you Ricky too for your warm welcome - which I may add was indeed warmer than Valletta this evening. However, I had promised to take Rose to see Spiderman in 3D when we got here (we missed it in England).

Ah well - back in Qrendi now, cold Cisk in hand......does life get any better than this?

Cheers

Mike
