hey i'm neil, i'm 31 and i'm from scotland. next summer my girlfriend (catriona, 26) and I are moving to barcelona.

i work offshore for a drilling company and this allows me to live anywhere. catriona has lived in barcelona before and speaks basic spanish, she is going to study spanish/catalan before hopefully pickin up a job as a drama teacher which she is qualified to do.

we have looked at a lot of property to rent online and it looks like we should get something nice with our budget, probebly in l'exaimple area, to begin with at least.

i love sport. mainly football (i intend spending a lot of time in camp neu), i want to get involved in thai/kick boxing again, snowboarding, fishing and rugby. although i watch, and am usually wlling to give anything a go.

we like cinema, theatre, gigging, dining out, comedy, socialising, being daft, having a laugh and nights out.

i'd like to hear from anyone who has anything in common with us.

we are looking for tips, info, idea's, advice but most of all we would like to hear from similar people as we have no friends in barcelona yet.... it's a shame for us!

so if any of this sounds interesting to you then get in touch

cheers

hey sara how u doing?

yeah that was my girlfriend you replied to.

so how are you finding things so far?

i want to pick your brain a wee bit....

how did you go about getting set up with an appartment? we have looked at som stuff online but it'd be nice to use a company that we know people are using and not having problems with.

did you have any friends in barcelona before you went over or are you making new friends as you go? if you are making a new group of friends how's it working out for you?

do you need to register as a residant in spain if you move there?

hey mate - just sent you a personal reply, but in terms of apartments I went through Fiasco who were awesome.  Although depends on your situation and what you are after.  Shoot me a mail if you have any questions .......
