Hi there!

I am Peter and I am from Poland I will start working for some company from IT industry with the end of the August and I have some questions (sorry if my English is not so good). I have had look for a flat or house in the web an I found that it is possible to find nice apartment with monthly costs around 500/600 pounds. As I guess that is not all that I will pay so:
1. How the council tax is being set off (and is the water included in that tax)?
2. How much is the cost of electric central heating in winter (the worst case ;) )?
3. How much is the cost of gas central heating in winter (the worst case ;) )?
4. Is there any additional monthly fees (like TV license, any special taxes)?
5. How much are the living costs? (I mean food for a couple, fuel, entertainment, etc.)
6. Can you recommend any rent agencies? or website where can I find some direct renting ads?

thanks in advance for responses!

Christine
