Hi,

What's the closest thing to a western supermarket in D5 near Cao Dat Street?

Cheers,

Ash

There is a CO-OP MART on LY TRUONG KIET STREET between Nguyen Chi Thanh and 3-2 Street.

There is a LOTTE MART at the intersection of 3-2 Street and Le Da Hanh Street(on the ground floor of a highrise building)

If you like shopping in Vietnamese wet markets there is the huge NHAT THAO MARKET, with all sorts of fresh exotic foods and your basic essentials (hotels shop there) which is South and East of the intersection of 3-2 Street and Nguyen Tri Phuong (walk down Nguyen Tri Phuong twp major blocks and hang left on Nhat Thao Street and walk to the end).

CO-OP Mart prices are the best. Lotte Mart prices are about 10% higher BUT that LOTTE has great fish and meat sections - no smell either - just like Loblaws or No Frills in T.O.

Both these stores have affinity cards and Co-Op pays out more.

Try with the one on An Duong Vuong st named Windsor plaza or An Dong plaza in D5. Hope it helps.
