Job in Sports

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Sorry if i post it in the wrong topic i am pretty new here.

I am Greek but currently i am studying in UK. I have studied Sport Science with Professional Football coaching and now i undergo my master degree in Sport Strength and conditioning. I also have my Uefa B coaching license and in September i will be accredited with the UKSCA (UK Strength and Conditioning Association) and with NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association).

I am looking forward to move in Bucharest after September (This is when i finish my degree) and i was wondering if i could find a job in sports. The ideal would be to get a coaching job in a football club or an academy. I can also work as a fitness coach or as a sport scientist. Also i wouldn't mind work in a gym as a personal trainer or in any other sport doing the fitness part but i have two problems:
1) I do not speak Romanian (although i am willing to learn as soon as possible)
2) I cannot find any jobs in sports on the internet.

Can someone here help me or give me some advise?

Regards

Maykal

You could try contacting some of the more upmarket gyms such as Orchidea Spa - those who might have enough expat clients that they might consider employing someone who doesn't speak Romanian.

I think you have your work cut out for your though: football is big in Romanian and most academies and clubs will have plenty of local trainers looking for jobs there, and without the language skills, the contacts, and the recommendations, I can't see it being easy to break into the market.

Here are some football academies you could try contacting:

Chelsea Football School
Toni Dobos School of Football
SportTeam
Voievod School

Not sure if anyone are big enough to afford a non-Romanian full-time physical trainer. To be honest, you'll have a better chance of finding something in the UK.
