Life in Dubai's heat

Post new topic

Hello everyone. New to the forum and benefited lots from reading your topics.

I am considering moving to Dubai and the one big concern I have is the extreme hot weather.
I lived in some extremely cold cities in remote areas in northern Canada and was trying to compare life there to Dubai. It was basically from one heated place or car to another with the occasional brief walk in the cold to reach another heated building or get to the car in an unheated underground parking.
In modern cities there are heated underground or overground walkways to link buildings.

Is it similar to that in Dubai? Air-conditioned building, homes, underground parkings, train stations and so on?
How often do you walk out doors and how bad is it?
How about nights, can you take a walk and enjoy the fresh air?

They may seem like silly questions and at the same time I can't imagine what it's like there without being there.

Thanks a lot
Kal

It's hot! I mean hot like dripping sweat any moment you leave an Air-conditioned space. You still can't escape the heat at night.  The hot season should be over by October, I guess.
