Hi there my hubby and i really fancy coming to Australia for a new life, somewhere nice to bring up the kids.  If you dont mind me asking what made you guys decide to move to Melbourne.  I've been researching on line for days now and we cant decide where's best for us.  What we want most is a safe environment for kids, beach life as well as active outdoors time spent as a family.  My husband is a sales manager so we would need an area where he would find work but i'm just being overwhelmed by all the info on line. Are the beach accessible easily or is it a car drive for most people?  Do houses in Melbourne generally have pools?

Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

hi suzy,

I am also planning to move australia with family of 4 kids, wife and me, and almost 50% of my process is already completed.
i also have extensively searched and found that no. 1 place to stay with kids is the capital Canberra, with best education and heath facilities. sea beach is 2 hrs drive away from canberra. there are some rumors that only citizens are allowed to reside in canberra.
however my second top best location to move is melbourne with all good facilities, plus lots of restaurants, port melbourne is 5 km away from city center and good sea beach for surfing is 85KM away.
about houses i think every city has different types of houses but as per my info suburbs have good houses may be with pools.

all the best.
