Hey everyone, I will be moving to Germany with my job most likely sometime between April and July, 2010. I am planning on living in a small town between Worms and Mainz near some family. My wife and I have two dogs and I have been told that we will probably have trouble finding a place that will rent to us with both the dogs. One is a golden retriever and the other a small mixed breed dog. Do you think we are in for a struggle to find a place? What advice do you have for us in trying to find an apartment? Any tips on convincing a landlord to rent to us with both dogs? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The problem won't be one or two dogs. The "problem"will be dogs in general.
But I would make a bet that you will find a place, it just will take you a bit longer.
Start looking early enough, so you don't get into any pressure and you'll be alright.

Do you have all the necessary papers for the dogs to get into Germany (Valid Rabies shots, Chip and Titer test)?

I've done the research now. If anyone wants info on moving dogs from the US to Germany, you can read about the requirements on my blog.

Could you please give us an idea of the results? That would be really appreciated. Thanks :)
