Hi,
I am from Sao Paulo but am living in the U.S. now. Look, if you got good education, it's a plus in a country where very few people ever get to decent universities. So, I think you could have an edge there.
I've never been to India, but I think São Paulo is comparable to any Indian big cities in regard of crime, traffic and other issues.
However, brace yourself for a culture that, while it's considered open to foreign influences, is still very closed compared to, say, New York or London. Brazilians like foreigners, in general, but if you show it in any way, people will stare at you on the streets.
Also, if you are perceived as someone who might have cash in your pockets, you are in trouble.
But hey! give it a try - and good luck!
