Ex- German, Irish, English, Turkish -Pat would like to move to Malta.
I would especially like to hear from GB people with experience in exporting ESA or IB to Malta.

Hi Helger,

welcome to the forum.

I hope you get some feedback from GB people about the possibility of exporting Incapacity Benefits and ESA to Malta.

I know that in the past it was possible to receive benefits in a foreign country but IB has been replaced by ESA since 31.January 2011 and it seems that all IB cases are being re-assessed over the next years and transferred to Employment and Benefit Support.

You should contact your Jobcentre for exact details.

I am aware that it is possible to export ESA when in the support group and contribution based, as I am.
What I am interested in, is actual experiences, people may have had.
