My husband is in KSA waiting for his Iqama. My question is, can our kids and I go on  tourist visas while his Iqama is being processed? Will it cause any issues later when we need to go permanently? This visa stuff is crazy I don't want our family to be broken up for three months or more....Please help :)

Yup you can come to KSA on Visit Visa or business Visa, since your husband doesn't have Iqama he can't get the Visit visa for you guys easily so you have to arrange on your own.

good luck to both of u

Yup Dave you can do the same ;) Get your family on visit Visa, after every 3 months renew it and your family can stay for 9 months i believe.

Sounds good. Will convince my family to come here.

But my GF can't come here on a visit visa, right?

She can come too ;) she has to arrange it on her own you can recon some saudi who'll arrange it for her however you can arrange visit visa for your spouse included parents.

To apply for the visit visa, your husband needs to wait for his Iqama. Why not the family visa then? (unless you have to do visit/business visa on your own as @NN said above).

These days we're a bit nervous about those visa issues... it was never this difficult to get business visa for KSA, as my husband has got it twice before, within a day or two after the application. But the embassy changed the rules and it made things harder. About this delay I blame my husband's company, actually HR people, because they're the ones who should get these things done in time.

However, I believe the iqama process is in progress (as the Riyadh office says), and my question is, once my hubby gets the iqama, that means he will have residence visa, right?
( I don't understand those visas in KSA really, the more I read, the more I get confused). And how long we will have to wait for a family visa?
