Hello!  I live in the U.S. and a relative of mine was sent to Caracas by the Cuban government to do some "pro bono" work for the Chavez regime.  While there I want her to buy either a brand name laptop or computer system to take back to Cuba with her to replace a computer that's slowly dying. She's not familiar with shopping in Caracas, Cubans are sent to other countries to do their "duty" penniless so she's not had any reason to visit any stores. I'll be sending the funds for this transaction from the U.S..

I read about the Sambil mall in Caracas, but have not been able to find a directory of stores. Does anyone know if in this mall there are dedicated computer stores or where else one can make a reliable computer purchase?

Hi... I know I'm a little late but yes you can buy it in Sambil. The C.C. has some pc store that sell brand name computers, or you can look at Mercadolibre too. Maybe you can find some items there. Happy Christmas
