Hi,

if someone asks you the best reasons for making the choice to live and stay in Saudi Arabia, what would be your top 5?

Thanks in advance for participating,

Julien

RehabDoctor

Main reason, income.

Osama EL-Masry

I've spent three years in UAE. I was really suffering with accommodation costs. They're very high. I could not accompany my small family. Here, in KSA ,I can.

Besides, The income here is good.
Reasonable prices
Good quality of produces.
As a Muslim, Performing Omra or Haj will be a privilege

As a Christian westerner, I would say a big PLUS is getting to know Muslims as people, rather than as part of a news story about something bad that has happened (most recently, for example, the attack on the US Embassy in Libya).

Wow, and let's not forget the great weather!

Granted, 3 mos. out of the year it's unbearable but we just stay in our air conditioning.  The other 9 mos. are fabulous :D

Good point!  I remember when I first got to KSA and would go food shopping, I couldn't do anything but *stare* at the barrels and barrels of different olives!!!  Never knew so many types existed :D

Well, money yes of course, getting paid mad money for doing less work, much less work, but for me the most important thing has been learning about Islam right at the source, where it all began. I grew up in a neighborhood which had quiet a few number of Muslim households, but we didn't know much about Islam, everyone lived their own lives and took care of their own business. Ironically, if you asked me, I'm now less interested than i ever could've been when i didn't know much.
