hi all,
any idea about what the primary school in Juniper green on the outskirts of Edinburgh?Is it a good school?

Yes, a good school, in a lovely area. That school is brand new, as in the buildings were all replaced/rebuilt in 2009. It has good results, including specialist music teachers, which isn't typical for a state primary school in Edinburgh. And it is a feeder school for Currie High, which is regarded as a very good secondary school. Keep in mind though that catchment areas apply in Edinburgh, and, even if you are in teh catchment area, there is no guarantee they will accept your child unless they are at the entry stage, i.e. P1. If you move from another place and have children beyond this stage, you might find as we did that we couldn't get our children into the catchment school because it was already full. So if you already have somewhere to live, you should get onto the school and make sure you can get a place.
