Friends, please help with substantial information in this regard. A Colleague of mine has been offered an almost double salary job in Doha, but the Company is reluctant to let him go and won't let him resign, this is because, they claim, he's the most qualified employee and the survival of the Project relies on his presence, and that should he leave, the Government will revoke the contract immediately. Contrarily they want him to pay SR60,000 before they can let him go, that's equivalent to his two month's salary

Questions:
-Is the a way of leaving KSA without the approval of one's Employer?
-What can possibly happen when he gets to the Customs Section at the Airport?
-Is the a way of paying your way out via the Customs officials?

It's really sad to see a man come to work against his will every day.

His best option is to take emergency leave and not to return. Other members may have better suggestions?
