hi...i am looking for someone who has experience with canadian ''withholding tax'',i am a new pensioner,and have some questions,about the nr5, undersec 217 of the cra tax treaty with vietnam..thanks

I'm in a pickle as well. My partner is Canadian and we have to fill out the sponsorship paperwork for my immigration and she has to state whether she is a non-resident or not- she never declared. She has worked abroad for a few years, 2 of which we're tax free. Now she's bricking it, worry if she will be back-taxed on 2 years worth of income. Has anybody been in a similar situation or know of anyone in HCMC who is clued up on canadian tax law?
