i got worldwide health insurance and it's not the travel one it cover every thing... but it end in June 2013......so can i apply for the residence with it ? or i should apply for a new one?

also how much it cost here in Malta?

ricky

Hi Designs,

you should be able to apply for residency with it if it covers you in Malta. In the end it is up to DCEA if they accept the insurance as equivalent to the state health coverage.

I personally am insured with Atlas which costs about 600 €/ year for my age group. It is cheaper for younger people. The main problem is that private health insurance does not cover pre-existing illnesses.

Hi Designs,

if DCEA accepts your insurance you don't have to apply for a new one yet until the other one expires!
