Hi all,

I'm a spanish student (I just have to present my final thesis to finish my bachelor degree in Marketing & Market Research). I've been thinking for a while about the chance of moving to malta and try to find a full time job or work as an intern and I was wondering if you can give me some advices. I speak english and spanish and I'm currently refreshing my french and I've been working as an event planner and a PR coordinator.

I don't know how to start seeking for a job in Malta so every piece of advice would be helpful.

Thank you all in advance  :)

Hi,

I have used quite a few of the mentioned job agencies in the past. Most of them are very good, they keep you updated with new jobs on the market and set up interviews with employers for you. I suggest subscribing with these websites as well so that you receive emails with updates every week. I find the ETC website very useful. Wishing you luck in your job search.

No surprises to hear of your " difficulties " regarding work/contract problems in Malta !
I was interviewed by a panel of Senior Nurses for a post at St Paul Boffa's hospital and passed the interview and offered a post of Registered Nurse.
I duly turned up for my arranged start date to be asked by the SNO( Senior Nursing Officer) " What do you want " !!!!
This complete lack of incompetence and unprofessionalism is one of many reasons why I , thankfully , have returned to the UK to work !!!
Malta is NOT in my opinion a serious place to work for health professionals so good luck 😀!!!!

" Competence " that should read !!!😀

There are some good portals but the best one with daily job updates I found is maltajobs.com.mt

There is also igamingvacancy.com specialising in iGaming jobs

Hi all,

I am Egyptian working in finance field for about 19 years (in Egypt and other Middle East countries); I real want to move to Malta, and I don't know if I can find a job with my experience (regardless of job seniority) and what are the needed procedures to get a work permit.

Highly appreciate sincere advice

Hello everyone,
I am going to move to Malta in June or July with just a little bit of knowledge of Maltese(maybe A1), how impossible is it to find a job(it doesn't matter what job really) without knowing Maltese?I don't mind working whatever I am offered before I learn more Maltese.

I am sorry if my question has been asked before.

Regards,
George

As long as you speakEnglish you shouldnt have an issue finding work .
Most jobs require English at the very least

Gosho1991

Thank you very much for your quick response.I speak English very well, not perfect, but very well.Maybe on B2 level.I am going to learn Maltese to level A1 before I go to Malta and I am very happy to hear that I don't need to speak it very well to work there.

Thank you once again.

George

I would not send your CV to agencies. They best thing would be to look by your self or on websites like hellomalta.net. You have a better chance of finding a job here than job agencies.
