Moving to johannesburg

Hello to all,

Im an Indian planning to move Johannesburg in Nov 2012,
im bit thrilled/panicked after reading lots & lots of blogs & reviews, but right now i have got no other option rather than moving to Joburg, that too with my family (4 yr old kid),
Any suggestions, Pls do reply

What would you like to know? Aurelie,I was in Pamplempousses in April,went to the botanical gardens :)

I have got very silly queries...
I wondered if i can go all alone for grocery shopping etc etc..
Or can i take a short walk with my kid like dropping her in creche etc...
since my husband will be in office, somethings i have to manage on my own , is it possible in johannesburg.

Really worried!!!!!!!

Yes you can,Johannesburg is not that bad depending in what area you stay in.

I stay in Parkmore Sandton :) Sandton is a very good area.

Hows ur personal experience living in joburg, is it really dangerous place to live tht too with kids(bcos kids love to go in parks etc) is it possible to visit parks, zoo etc...

I have lived in JHB for +- 12 years and nothing has happened to me. Yes you can go to the parks and zoo but obviously stay with the child. Just take normal precautions like not walking in dark alleys etc and you should be fine.
