Jay,
It is not going to be easy with this kind of money.  Ultimately, it is your choice.  Hope you will benefit by other experiences and it will lead to something, so nothing should be rejected out of hand.

Hi Jay!

Maybe you could try posting an advert in the Muscat housing section.
It might help!

maybe you'll find a rich sheikh to keep you, then your housing problem will be solved. otherwise, its very difficult to budget within this allowance. i have to pay OMR350 for a small 1bhk here in qurum.

Hi Jay
With 250 rials salary, you have to look for a sharing accomodation , ranging from 80 to 140, depending on which area. This is just one room or you cna share a room. Cost of living here in Oman is not so bad. Most locals are friendly and the too many tousit spot to visit.

250 OMR is free accomodation or trans?if not its ok if you willbe asign in rural area like salalah..add https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id … 37&fref=ts

Well, as far as I know, 2 bedroom appartment in the city, like MQ is about 1000 RO.  Some people pay more and put money from pocket to add to their allowance to get a house.  Of course you can get lower than that.  But seems really tough to make ends and take something with you back home.  People do not come here for being here and fun.

Come to think about it, you are not wearing a shirt in the photo.  And with this salary, your landlord will want to take the shirt off your back.  :) At least that will not be possible.
