Can anybody shed some light on living in Tahuna?

Sandman6

Ripped from Wiki. Sounds like a happening place! ;)

The city, including Msillata, had an urban population of about 296,000 (est. 2003). Tarhuna is a leading producer of olive oil, cereals, figs, grapes, sparto grass, and various nuts.

Thanks Sandman, are there any facilities for expats to say gym, swim or play squash - just preparing for the big move.  and how liberal/ conservative are they there re clothing - especially for women? how far is Tahuna from Tripoli?

Thanks for taking time o answer these posts - you are very informed.

Sorry Newkid, I know nothing about Tahuna apart from what I found on Wiki.

With regard to your other Q's, there is plenty of feedback on similar subjects on other posts - One thing I would suggest is that Tahuna, being sticksville is more likely to be more conservative than the big city.

Sorry mate, but I don't think it is much of a city. wouldn't count on finding any of the stuff you mentioned.

It's in the middle of nowhere, you won't find any expat life there apart from a few working on the water project.
