I have a question about sewing machines. I have a very expensive embroidery machine and would like to sew while I am there soooooooo what kind of machines are sold there? Is it a good idea to bring my machine and run it on 50HZ instead of 60hz? Are machines sold there and are they embroidery machines? Thx so much for helping me in this venture.

There are plenty of tailor shops in every corner in Bahrain. Sewing machines or embroidery machines could be easily found here and I'm sure there are many shops that sell it and maintain it.
You can run a 50HZ motor on a 60HZ, but of course the machine will go 15-20% faster than normal and the cooling time has to be increased accordingly.
You may consider buying a new machine or even a used one that you can use during your stay in Bahrain and sell it afterwards rather than bringing over your expensive machine, taking into consideration the shipping cost.
