Help needed by new member FROM UK!

Hi All!!
I'm new to this forum and will be moving to Riyadh with my husband soon (he has just been offered a job).
I would like to know if it will be better for me to secure a teaching post before I leave UK or wait until I am over there with my husband?
Also is there anyone out there who does not live in a western style compound? How much should a modern 2 bedroom flat/villa cost?
Also I would love to hear from any british females who are out there
Any advice will be appreciated
