Hi there,

I am moving to Santiago in Mid- January! I'm very excited and would like any advice on getting set-up etc. I'm chatting to a couple of people through Airbnb and it seems like a really good service and very secure. I will then find somewhere permanent once I am there.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks in advance,

June

Hello June,

You may try the housing in Santiago section or the couch surfing section in the Santiago classifieds. It might help you to find accommodation.

I am sure you will get lots of new contacts here.

All the best,
Christine

Hi June,

I will be moving to Santiago in mid February and am looking for someone to live with when I get there.  I am 25 years old and am coming to teach English in Chile for at least a year.  I don't know anybody there yet so I'm a little unsure of how to do things.

Hello June
I had the opportunity to visit Ireland twice. I have very good friends there.
Chile is a country with a Mediterranean climate, people are friendly with foreigners and life here is not difficult.
I have a friend who rents rooms in Providence, there live several German, English and Spanish also, young people in a pleasant atmosphere. If you want I can give you their information.
If you need any indication or help, will be my pleasure to help.
best regards
Pablo.
