Relocating to Canada

I am relocating to Canada for work as a Linesman. Can anyone help with accommodation advice as I would be looking for a basement apartment or to share with someone. I am relocating to Calgary so maybe on the outskirts or near the public transport system. I am very easy to get on with & a good guy who does his fair share of house hold chores etc.
