help with birth certificate

although i live in australia i was born in Djakarta. I have lost my birth certificate & need to get an official copy (preferably soon). i have approached Indonesian consulate in Australia without success. can anybody help??

Go to the police station and submit a report about the lost of your birth certificate and you'll get a letter stated that you've lost your birth certificate. and then, with that letter go to kantor catatan sipil (I dunno how to say it in english) in the area (region) where your birth certificate first issued (is it south of jakarta, north, east, center, etc).
