Hello!...wife and I will be arriving in Quito at night...any suggestion for nearby safe/reasonably priced place to spend night near airport...will be heading west next day on bus...thank you!...Dana/Maria

The Vieja Cuba Hotel in Quito, number 022906729. I heard good things about that place, is also safe and affordable. Take care.

last update: they has one available apartments with queen size bed, accommodation is $41 per night, they may transfer from airport if u say flight number and arrival time (+$10).
That all could I do for u.

Dana, I have stayed at Hotel Bonanza twice. They are about 30-40 minutes from airport but reasonably priced and the food cant be beat. They pick you up and return you to airport. Take a look at their website. We are staying there again on New Years for a couple of nights. They also accept pets that stay in the walled in area. Very safe and great beds.
