Post new topic

Hello,

I need to know what is the cheapest hotel/pension you know in the following cities :

1) Essen
2) Berlin
3) Munich
4) Hamburg
5) Leipzig
6) Hannover
7) Karlsruhe

Because I want to save money in case I obtain a 6 months Job Seeker Visa ;)

Cheers :P

Youth hostels are unbeatable - price-wise.
For example, a bed with breakfast will cost you around €25 in Munich - any other option will be at least double of that.
Get a membership in your country before coming (only if your country doesn't have youth hostels can you join in Germany!) and find more information (incl. addresses and prices) on http://www.jugendherberge.de

Hi beppi,

Thanks for your answer :)

I am 30 years old, is it OK ? :/

I think youth hostels are open to all ages nowadays. You might pay slightly more as a "Senior" (above 24 years or so).
If in doubt, call and ask!

Oh, I'd like to add: Of course if you need any of the luxuries that usually come with being "Senior", you might want to consider other (more expensive) options. Only some youth hostels have private rooms (at higher price than what I mentioned above), fewer have private baths, but all have noisy school children running around at all times - so you might want to check into a hotel the night before a job interview for better sleep!
