Hi, does anyone have any links or connections to Malta's ship building/repair industry?
The reason I ask is that I have an ex service comrade who works in NDT (Non Destructive Testing)and is qualified in various aspects of this type of work, including drilling rig climbing work etc.
He may be considering moving to Malta if he can find work but it seems difficult getting to know who are the main players to contact to send in CV etc.
There do not seem to be many adverts, situations vacant or similar.
Is this perhaps a closed shop?
Is it that international companies lease the docks etc and then do their own work?

I personally know nothing about this type of work, being an ex serviceman, Electronic Technician and Children's Social Worker (legal) but I am trying to help a friend so any advice would be most welcome, thanks.

Better to find in Singapore and Dubai.Many consultants over there.
