Hi - I am Australian woman - I have been living in SE Asia for some time.  However now thinking of relocating - going into semi-retirement mode in Senegal - I'd be interested in leasing initially - a house - not tooooooooooooooooo far from the beach.  Just something simple and comfortable/secure.  Can anyone give me idea on costing?  What  is the situation with furniture - are properties generally rentted furnished or unfurnished?   Also how are internet serivces - are providers efficient?  What type of visa would I require and is it easy to obtain?  Are there personal safety issues for women?
K - lots more to ask but this will be a great start if you can help.
Thankyou in anticipation.

Hi, saw your post at the expat forum.  Have you moved to Senegal yet?  The Mbour/Saly/la Somone area is great for retirement.  I have lived here for almost four years now.  I have built a home, but there are placesm for rent.  If you are still looking, let's talk further.
