I am unsure if I am allowed to travel there. I have been married to a Norwegian for 1Year now, so I dont have permanent citizenship, but I am stamped with rights to work and live until I become citizen in 5years.

So what im wondering is, does anyone know if I can travel to the states without applying for a American tourist visa, like the Norwegians can? Or do I have to apply like I would have if im living in Philippines?

Hoping for a quick answer, because we might go visit my relatives in USA.

With kind regards,

Aimee

Dear Ms. Aimee,

Your marriage to a Norwegian for one year does not entitled you to a free entrance to US. You are still a Philippine passport holder and this is enough reason that you apply for a visitor visa to the US. However, I am afraid that this may not be 100%sure either. The consul officer who screens the visa applicant looks deeply into your motive/s for asking permission to land your feet to the soil of North America(USA).

Good luck!
