Orchids

While living in Ft Lauderdale my wife tried numerous times to grow orchids without success. We found an excellent solution in Quito with an company that cares for the orchid for the year or more when not in bloom and then calls you to pick up the plant when ready to bloom. Laura now has five orchids that she rotates. The Quito location is I understand a subsidiary of a Cuenca business. If anyone has interest, I will post their contact information.

Hi fdmcg, you are welcomed to register the company in Ecuador Business Directory.;)

Harmonie.

I am interested. I am not finding a category for that in the business directory.

fdmcg

Bob, I have not placed in the business directory as I can't find a suitable category. What I find unique is the ability to leave plants when not blooming or when traveling. We always get the plants back in better shape then when we left them. I will send your their Cuenca location.

On another topic, if interested I found recently that with a Sonos Internet receiver you can access Sirius and Songza.

The world is getting smaller all the time :)

And that is primarily due to the Internet. When we initially moved to Ecuador in 2005, we used Internet for Vonage phone and my office computer. Now we use for Sonos, Sirius and Songza music,  Vonage, WII, two Apple TV's, two IPads, an IPod touch and an IPhone and my office computer.

Thanks to this, I read the WSJ, USA Today, Washington Post daily, watch Bloomberg Financing news during the day and the NFL on weekends , speak with family in USA frequently, watch Netflix movies etc. share photos and teleconference (FaceTime) the grandchildren, share files with sons in DC and São Paulo, connect to my office in Miami and listen to whatever music we please.

This makes "staying in touch" with family and friends very convenient.
